🏆 Woodnewton Provincials
Did you hear the news? Durham Shredders is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the Ontario Mountain Bike Provincial Championship at Woodnewton from September 11th-13th! This is a major event for our club and our region, and we’re excited to welcome the cycling community for a full weekend of racing and community-focused activities.
Events like this are only possible with the support of volunteers, and we’ll be relying on our Shredders community to help make the weekend a success.

Durham Forest Ride Days – Returning for 2026 
We’re especially excited to share that Durham Forest ride days are set to return this year for all programs. For newer riders, this offers a chance to build confidence in a supported environment and become familiar with trails they may not yet feel comfortable riding on their own. For our more experienced riders, this provides the opportunity to refine skills, revisit challenging sections, and continue progressing on familiar terrain.
Our goal is to help riders feel confident exploring local trails beyond structured programming building skills, independence, and a deeper connection to the trails in our community. Planning is well underway so stay tuned for dates and additional details.
New for 2026: Adult & Women’s-Only Programming (Session 3)
We’re very excited to expand our programming in 2026 to include adult focused programs, including both adult only and women’s only sessions. These are set to run during Session 3 (July 21st-August 27th) of the 2026 season.
Whether you are looking to be able to ride alongside your kid(s), further refine your confidence and technique, or simply looking for a fun way to pass the time while your kid(s) are also in session – this program is for you!
This is something we’ve heard clearly from our community, and we’re excited to bring it to life. More details will be shared soon, but we wanted to share our excitement early!
